Brand new Aspire Savings website

Aspire Savings is brand new as of May 20, 2011!

After a long process, we have finished the new framework (for the most part :) of our website and made the switch from old to new as of 5/20. Though it took longer than hoped or expected, we are glad we decided to make the change early in Aspire's life, so we can get on with the good part; saving money, working together and giving back.

As Aspire grew and saw more traffic, we realized that we needed a more powerful system to handle the many different things we wanted to do. The short story is that we ended up building an entirely new structure that will be able to easily grow with us, rather than just getting by, constantly having to patch and fix.

The great part of this project is that it began because of the positive interest we received from people wanting to use Aspire, which is good for all... more people using and referring Aspire means more benefits for members and groups.

Though we have a new site, we are still in the process of building and expect the site to keep growing and changing for a while. In the short term, we will continue building the basic components for our members and groups. In the long term, we will expand each site (guide, web, search, business, groups, mall, search) and add more useful content to help members save money and accomplish their goals. We will also implement Aspire Savings Forum in the future, though no exact time has been determined yet.
