How Social Sign-In Works

How it works - Beginners Guide

Aspire works with 3rd party providers to safely and securely authenticate members during sign-in at aspiresavings.com, making it easier for members to access Aspire without having to remember another set of usernames and passwords.

Click the image for a simple visual explanation and please keep in mind:

Using your Facebook, Gmail, Hotmail, Twitter (or any other 3rd party) account is safe, secure and you should know that Aspire Savings does not have access to your accounts at any of these providers; we only ask them to validate your identity for us. Also, this service is optional; members are welcome to use their username and password if they prefer. Just use the option that works best for you.

How will this help me?

The benefit of this service is that members are able to easily sign-in to Aspire Savings using information they probably use all the time. Instead of trying to remember their Aspire username and password, you can just use one of these email accounts or social network providers to relay your info to Aspire. Once you have setup your account to work with Aspire, the process is so easy, you probably won't even think about it again. Check out the following examples (after setup):

Example 1 (3rd Party) - Many people have an account with Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn, arguably the most popular social networks on the web. Let's say you just finished updating your status on Facebook and are ready to do some shopping through Aspire. Since you already logged in to Facebook, all you'll have to do is click the Facebook icon on Aspire's Sign-In page and you will automatically be signed-in since Facebook already knows it's you and can let Aspire know.

Example 2 (3rd Party) - Similar to above, you can do the same thing with email accounts from Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo and others. This includes any services operated by the providers; Google, Windows Live and Yahoo (like Messenger, Google Voice, etc).

Example 3 (OpenID) - Many providers support the OpenID platform including AOL, MySpace, Wordpress and many more. You probably already have one and didn't realize it! Go to About OpenID to learn more and see who can be used.

Pretty cool right? Give it a try...
